- Lyddie looks like she's contemplating an important life choice, and it's true. Going to Lowell means better pay, and that means she could get her family back together. But, on the other hand, if she stays at Cutler's tavern, she'd be closer to Charlie.
- The mistress looks very angry because when she was gone on vacation, Lyddie left the tavern to pay her home a visit.
- The bear broke into Lyddie's house. Lyddie looks very brave and heroic because, well, she is. She bravely faces the bear, who had partially destroyed their main room.
