- Ganghis Khan was born on the year 1162 in Khentii mountains, Mongolia. Ganghis Khans original name is Tamüjin. Tamüjin's (Ganghis) moms name is Hoelun and his dads name is Yesügei and he was the chief of his tribe. Tamüjin has 6 siblings and half siblings.
- When Tamüjin was only 9 years old his dad sent him to another tribe where he met his future wife Borte. Tamüjin's dad arranged for Tamüjin to work for several years for Borte's family and by the time he is done they would be old enough to marry each other. But at this time Tamüjins dad got poisoned by enemies called the Tartars. When Tamüjin went back to his dad it was already too late and his dad passed away.
- Now that Yesügei is gone Tamüjins tribe left him and his family all alone and Hoelun now has to take care of her 7 kids and herself all alone. But Tamüjin and his siblings also need to help out like with chores or learn survival techniques. Ever since Yesügei had died Tamüjins older brother had been the oldest male in the family and he is always taking things that Tamüjin had worked hard for. But Tamüjin is tired of people taking from him, so him and his half brother Belgutei killed his older brother in woods and that would make Tamüjin the oldest male in the family and he could answer to no one now. But Tamüjins mother was disappointed in Tamüjin and mad so Tamüjin was forced to leave.
- On Tamüjins way he remembered that he did not see his intended wife Borte in 7 years and he is now 16 years old. Tamüjin went to see Borte and she was actually waiting for him. So Borte's finally agreed and they finally got married. After that Tamüjin was planning his revenge for the Tartars that killed his father.
- Tamüjin started to be called Ganghis Khan which means Ruler Of All by his soldiers. Ganghis Khan started to gather his army and train them for fighting, riding horses, and using weapons. Ganghis organized his soldiers into groups of 1,000 soldiers in each group and they were called Gurans. Ganghis finally had a big enough army to get revenge on the Tartars and he showed no mercy. Ganghis wanted to unite all the Mongols and get revenge on the enemies that tortured the Mongols and so he did. Ganghis conquered al of his enemies and their lands and leaders.
- Ganghis returned to China and died in 1227. No one really knows how Ganghis died but some people say that he got injured when he fell of his horse. But Ganghis had his third son before his death and named him Ogedei and he also ruled the Mongol Empire from 1229 to 1241. Ganghis Khan ordered that the Kingdom Of Xi Xia should be destroyed and erased and that made Ganghis slowly lose his power that he made into the earth.
