- Stromatilites form
- It happened about 4.6 billion years ago. Earth started off with a lava and rocky earth. Earth formed when gravity pulled gas and dust in to becoming the third planet from the Sun. Overtime plate motion created mountains/ volcanoes and underwater volcano
- banded iron formation
- The first single celled organism was found around 3.5 billion years ago. single celled organism is called a unicelled organism. And the largest single celled organism is the caulerpa taxifolia organism.
- multi cellular life

- This happened 3.5 billion years ago. Stromatalites are most earliest fossil evidence of life on earth. Stromatalites are thought to be largely responsible for increasing the amount of oxygen earths atmosphere gets through the continuation of photosynthesis
- The Cambrian explosion
- This happened about 2.7 billion. Banded iron formed in sea water as the result of oxygen released by photosynthetic cyanobacteria. This showed that the atmosphere and the ocean never had water. And they don't form today because the ancient oceans were quite different.
- This happened about 1 billion years ago. These cells lead to life we have today. Some multicellular examples are animals, funghi, brown algue, red algue, green algue and land plants.
- This happened about 530 million years ago. The Cambrian explosion is the time when most of the major groups of animals appear in the fossil record. Earth was generally cold, but it was gradually as warm as the glaciers of the late Proterozoic Eon.
