- It spent 800 million years cooling and in the Archean eon the first evidence of life appeared, in the form of protocells, microspheres, and coaservates. 300 million years later the first fossils of algae and bacteria
- Around 4. 6 billion years ago the earth was formed during the Precambrian era in the Hadean eon. The Earth looked nothing like how we know it today
- 1.8 billion years ago oxygen became present in the atmosphere.
- 700 million years later the first known forms of multi cellular life (worm-like organisms).
- 540 million years ago there was fossil that there was an abundance of life forms. 80 million years later there was evidence of the first fish. 20 million after that the first land plants existed and another 30 million years after that land animals existed.
- 250 years ago there was the largest mass extinction
- 247 million years ago the first dinosaurs came to existence and 7 million years later the first mammals existed
- 220 million years ago the break up of Pangaea . 70 million years later the first flowering plants existed.
- 65 million years ago dinosaurs and other animals went extinct
- 30 million years ago mammals and flowering plants became abundant. 1.8 million years ago the first primates in the genus homo. 40,000 years ago the first homo sapiens came into existence
- The first humans inhabited North Africa 13, 000 years ago and 3,000 years later the Ice Age ended.
