  • Fundamental Rights and freedoms
  • Women's rights !!!
  • Democratic Rights
  • Mobility Rights
  • the freedom of peaceful assembly & association gives all Canadians the choice to peacefully protest against the government or in support of a cause. this is legal until it is deemed unpeaceful. however the decision of if the protest is peaceful or not is up to police officers witch have a history of being bias and not official when stopping protest. this freedom has brought much change throughout Canadas history in particular the waves of feminisms through out the 20th century.
  • Legal Rights
  • Democratic rights give the citezince of Canada the right to participate and run as a candidate in all elections in Canada if they are of age, live in the area of the riding, and are a registered citizen. this right makes Canada a democracy a gives all Canadians a say in who our leader is. however the first past the post system can be inaccurate of what canadines truly want and can exclude minority's such as aboriginal people because of the lack of representation in their ridings and the low amount of seats in the taratoirys.
  • Equality Rights
  • We are all equal
  • AS a Canadian citizen it is your right to move in and out of provinces and the country at your own free will. however, if you are convicted of a crime and are coming from another country you will be required to return to that contrary unless the crime would lead to the death penalty. the mobility rights keeps Canada a free nation, giving the dision of staying Canada up to the citizens. something that has been a conflicted for more authoritarian country's.
  • General rights
  • in Canada you have the right to not be unreasonable search and seizure. witch states the your body, house, property, and possessions can not be searched unless the law deems you suspicious of as crime. this is a right to personal space and privacy however the bias history and systemic racism usually leads to minority's being searched for no reason by police officers.  overall this right is good however the police should be held accountable or the laws behind this right needs to change
  • I am going to have to search your car because i have the suspicion that you are hiding illgal substances in your car
  • This is the second time this week
  • everyone has equal rights and protection before the law. on paper this means everyone but Canadian history has shown that in practice this law is not true. with racisms and discrimination from police officers and the legal system, everyone who is not a well off white strait male is not equal.
  • Gender equality in the charter of rights in freedoms states that all rights are intended for both men and women. while this is an improvement by adding women to rights, a task that took Canada very long to accomplish, however, there are no words regarding people who don't fall in the gender binary and are queer. does this mean that these people don't have rights.
