The Babylonian Empire was established when King Hammurabi brought mostly all of Mesopotamia under his rule. He made Babylonia the capital of his empire and his empire thrived under him. He created a postal service and built roads. The god was made by Hammurabi himself and named Murdak.
Hammurabi greatest achievement was his code of laws. He wrote this to preserve order in his kingdom. His laws described divorce, marriage, and work.
Some other achievements were agriculture and farming. Hammurabi made sure that the irrigation system was maintained and the land was fertile. Also, trade was strong and helped the economy.
