- "Lincoln had not seen Booth coming. The bullet struck him in the head on the lower left side, just bellow the ear" pg. 41. This describes when Lincoln was shot. "The gas stage lights shone on the shiny blade now stained with blood. "Sic Semper Tyrannis!" he thundered." pg. 43. This describes when he leaped off of the booth, hurt his leg, and yelled Sic semper tyrannis for the audience before running backstage.
- Garret Lets Booth and Herold in the Tobacco Barn.
- we need a place to stay tonight!
- "Determined to not miss again, he delivered a third mighty blow aimed at Sewards throat. The agonized groan that came from the bed told Powell that he had finally hit his target." pg. 55. This was when Powell has attempted to kill Seward while he was injured and recovering in his bed.
- Jett Outs Herold and Booth.

- "At the Peterson house, Abraham Lincoln began the death struggle. The end was coming fast." pg. 103. He sadly passed in the Peterson house after struggling to stay alive for a relatively long time.

- Booth and Herold liked Garret's hospitality and asked if they could stay another night but, "To their surprise, John Garret did not take them in another night." pg. 160. So he sent them out to stay inside the tobacco barn.

- In the next few quotes it describes the scene where Booth was caught in a barn which was lit on fire, shot by Corbett which lead to his death, and a few of his final words. (His actual final words were "useless, useless.") "Soon the barn caught fire, and within minutes the corner of the barn blazed brightly." pg. 171"Corbett poked the barrel of his revolver through the slit in the wall, aimed at Booth, and fired." pg. 173 "Booth whispered, "Tell my mother I die for my country."" pg. 175
