- The Maya king and his nobles lived an easy life. They had their every need provided for by the commoners. They were even carried from place to place in litters by slaves.
- Merchants & Artisans
- Priests had many roles and duties including performing religious ceremonies, instructing sons of nobles, keeping the calendars, studying astronomy and astrology,
- Commoners
- Maya warriors' capture sacrifice victims for their particular city-state. Raids were conducted on city-states and when they won a war and were showered with praise and material goods by the nobles.
- Slaves
- COME ON SLAVES
- Farming and trade, crafts were important. These were carried out by merchants and artisans. The Maya accomplished, traders. They traveled by sea, river, and roads to trade with other city states.
- Maya commoners, work as porters, limestone quarries, or servants to the noble class, but most were of the commoners were farmers.
- Yes i wonder where there going.
- The Maya had a system of serfdom and slavery. However, unwanted orphan children became slaves and were sometimes sacrificed during religious rituals.
- There has been alot of slaves here.
