- I’m Lizzie. This rock has been weathering And eroding for years and years. It is now what we call sediment. It is very crumbly.
- This sediment has gone into the water. It better not get compacted and cemented.
- OMG! It took so a million years to compact and cement. Now, it is sedimentary rock. It is still crumbling but is more solid. We should get away from this volcano…
- I cannot believe this! magma is pouring onto my sedimentary rock !
- Well, she was so shocked, that she fainted. But after it gets heated and pressured with magma, it turns into metamorphic rock. Metamorphic rock has ribbon like layers.
- It has been a very very long time and my metamorphic rock was melted into magma. Said magma was cooled and crystallized into igneous rock. Igneous rock is covered with microscopic crystals.
