- WE ARE!
- Who's excited to go on our school excursion today?
- Hi Father John!
- Good morning students! Welcome to the Catholic Church.
- The kids had waited all year for this day to finally come- it was the day of their very first school excursion.
- Can you please tell us about the Church, Father John?
- Of course! The Church is a very important place for Christian believers like me. This is where we pray to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
- All the kids piled into the bus, squealing from excitement. They were on the way to visit a number of places of worship to learn about multiculturalism in Australia.
- Jesus is known as the son of God. He gave up his life for us which is why many people around the world today celebrate Easter!
- But when he lived, he performed many miracles and changed peoples lives. This is why I worship him every Sunday here in the Church.
- For the first stop, the kids visited the local Church where they met with a priest named Father John. Father John had a friendly smile and was wearing a white vestment with a purple stole around his neck.
- I come to Church every Sunday with my parents too! I'm a Christian.
- The children sat down in the Church, their wide eyes looking up at the giant cross and the candles that sat upon the altar. The kids had so many questions bubbling in their minds.
- Father John was so excited to share his faith with the children, just as the children were eager to learn about Christianity.
- Who is Jesus Christ?
- Eric jumped out of his seat with excitement and a massive smile on his face as the others looked at him.
- Wow Eric, that's very cool.
