- Jonas is an eleven's boy who lives in a community. He is thinking how is he feeling about the ceremony of twelve but he doesn't found the correct adjetive
- While he is trying to find the correct adjetive, he connects the word frightened with an episode that happened time ago,when two aircraft had overflown the city. All the people was fascinated but a voice through the speakers asked them to go inside.
- Every night, at dinner, all the family has a ritual where they tell about the feelings they had during the day.
