- Hi! My name is Dorothy I am 6 years old and in my daily routine I help around the inside of the house and also go to school.
- Hello my name is Barbara I am 25 years old and these are my two kids. Today we will be taking you along our day to show you what life is like during the Dust Bowl.
- Hey, my name is Kenneth I am 9 years old and I help among the farm and also go to school like my sister
- In the morning we come over here to our farm which in the 1920's was very successful. It gave us a lot of fresh crops and helped us survive through winter
- But now with the hard wind from the dust it destroyed our crops land and damaged our farm. Now we have barely any crops to sell for profit or keep for ourselves.
- When we used to come downtown it was crowded and we would run around but now I cough the whole time!
- Same here I use to love to shop for food with mommy but we can barely spend any money and the dust is always in my eyes!
- Next when we come downtown you can see not many people are here and many shops are closed down due to the dust and depression.
