- Jonas lives in this dystopian world with his family and his friends, soon he will be 12 and there's a special ceremony where the goverment will choose his future

- WHAT!? that's mean that they kill people who aren't appropriate for the comunity to their standards!
- at the ceremony we found out that Jonas' gonna be the new Receiver
- falling action
- come one Gabe we have to go ths place is not safe for us anymore...
- jonas met the old Receiver to receive all the knowledge needed to carry out this work but he is a little bit worried about that.
- resolution
- don't worry Gabe we are safe now
- Jonas after receiving all the information he understands that the place where he lives is not so beautiful and decides, together with the old giver, that he has to do something
- i know Jonas we have to do something right now
- Jonas and his littel brother Gabe decide to run away because they tried to kill Gabe
- finally Jonas find a place where Gabe and him can be happy and thoughtless
