- First, the cause of the Boston tea party is the taxation without the representation in 1767 the Townshend revenue act and the 1773 tea act, the Americans thought that the British was taxing the unfairly.

- Then, colonists boycott the companies tea, and the tea was just sitting there not being sold.

- later, A group of people in Boston dressed up as native Americans and dumped 15,000 pounds of tea in the ocean.
