- Most of the planet's surface is water!!! Here's what we must do to save the ocean and its inhabitants.
- REDUCE MARINE POLLUTIONEveryone should prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, in particular from land - based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution.
- PROTECT AND RESTORE ECOSYSTEMSHuman beings should manage and protect marine and coastal ecosystems to avoid significant adverse impacts. They should take necessary action to restore it for healthy and productive oceans.
- SUSTAINABLE FISHING PRACTICESFishing authorities should regulate harvesting and end overfishing, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and destructive fishing practices. They should come up with sustainable fishing practices and end subsidies contributing to overfishing.
- SCIENTIFIC COOPERATIONPeople should increase knowledge and improve technologies to minimize ocean acidification.
- MAKE AND MAINTAIN INTERNATIONAL LAWSEnhance the conservation and sustainable use of oceans and their resources by implementing international laws.
