The third estate was the only one that had to pay taxes while the second and first estates don't. This cause the third estate to get mad.
After being locked out of the Estates-General, the third estate went to an indoor tennis court forming a National assembly. They vowed that they would make a new constitution and this was called the Tennis court Oath.
They, later on, storm into the Bastille.
