I cant compete for food with this population of wolves, I gotta migrate somewhere else to find food.
It looks like directional selection is not going in my direction .
My species is just too competitive for food, there is too much variation between us all.
I wonder if I can get food in there. I wonder if I can evolve and change my traits and genes to make it so I can swim and catch fish better. I might be able to adapt and mutate so I can eat food in the water. I didn't have the common allele frequency in the population in the woods so it put me at a disadvantage to get food.
We have quite a great gene pool.
I can almost feel myself adapting through adaptive radiation. My homologous structures are changing to those of whales. My pelvic bone is becoming a vestigial structure like whales.
Thanks to natural selection, I am thriving in this new environment, and my alleles are more suited for this environment.
Due to diversification I can already see the differences between me and my son. my son is a different color because of diversifying selection, the color trait protects from predators more.
Speciation happened when I went from a struggling wolf, to a thriving whale.
The law of superposition states that each layer of rock is older than the one above it so the farther down I am the older my fossil is.
That is how the land wolf, mutated and evolved to become a killer whale sea mammal.
