- Subsistence Agriculture
- Good Morning Class. Today we will be learning about the different types of subsistence agriculture (primitive subsistence) . Please look to the board.
- Shifting Cultivation
- Now, the land is abounded but it is allowed to revert for producing it's normal vegetation while this happens we move to another plot.
- We tribals, clear a patch of forested land by cutting and burning the tress and bushes. After 3 or 4 years the soil get's leached or covered by weeds and becomes infertile.
- Nomadic Herding
- We herders, depend upon the animals for food, clothing, shelter, tools, and transport. We move from place to place in search of water and pasture.
- Intensive Agriculture
- We farmers, make optimum utilization of the land and grow two or three crops annually with the help of irrigation , high yielding varieties of seeds, natural manures and chemical fertilizers.
