It´s like any day after-school. I am relaxing watching Netflix while scrolling through my phone. I had a reoccurring thought swirling in the back of my head saying I should have heard by now if I got into National Honor Society or not.
¨ Incoming face-time call from Mel. Answer?¨¨Answer. Whatsup.¨,I say.I repeat, ¨Hello, Hello Melanie what´s wrong.¨She shouts Check your email, check your email RIGHT NOW!¨
I say ¨, Girl why you want me to check my email.¨She exclaims,¨ I just got the email saying I got int NHS.¨I got so happy and proud of her ,but this fear started creepy about what if I didn´t get in.
I was extremely hesitant to check my email because what I tried and stress that much just failed. But, I wouldn't know if I didn´t check so I went to my email to check and I saw no email. At that moment my heart dropped and I was extremely disappointed.
Melanie states, ¨Just re load and see again.¨I tell her,¨ Its fine I just didn´t get in.¨She keeps insisting so I decided to relod and I tell her I see the email. I really don´t want to open it ,but I do.In a shocked tone I tell her, ¨ I got in.¨She started scream saying yeah both of us got in.
Her mom started congratulating us and I kept thinking that I almost didnt apply because I was so scared of failing.
