- It was raining outside. I was in the school sitting with my friends completing my homework before the teacher comes to the class. My friends were telling me to just leave it and do it another time. I was almost about to be done when I heard voices outside the door that our teacher is on a sick leave and a sub is coming instead. I closed my book that instant and started talking with my friends. They were talking about korean dramas which I had never heard about. I got interested in it and then one of my friend recommended me some of them to watch. Later that day, I watched one of the videos she told me and from that day onwards there was no going back for me. Rather than the plot or actors, the language was more of a reason for me to watch it, it just felt so homely and comfortable to listen to. I tried watching other shows of different language but they couldn't match up to this one.

- After some years of watching korean dramas, I got familiar with the language. One day out of curiosity, i tried watching it without the english subtitles and I was able to understand mostly everything they were saying. I was thrilled and happy the whole day after that because I had no other motive when I started watching these and mostly people said it is just time consuming and not help me with anything. Then later that day, I thought of learning how to write the Korean too, so I started Duolingo from that day onwards and I have doing that until now making it like more than a year. For me it's a really big thing as I lose interest in things quite early and doesn't stay committed for long but this time I am really enjoying learning this language.

- It was my first day of 7th grade at a new school. My day was going pretty well until the French class. I had never studied French before and was a year behind in that class compared to my classmates. I was about to have an exam on the 1st two chapters in few days which is why I had to study and cover the topics faster than other people. During the class I didn't get a single thing and the teacher noticed that. She called me out after the class was over and gave me some tips and extra notes on how I could cover the old and new topics before the exams come. I studied hard every single day, the first few days went by just memorizing how the past, present and future tense works. The day of the exam came and I went through the paper first before starting it and I was able to answer mostly every question. We got the grades the next week and I got an A in the exam.
