- Friar remarks to himself
- Oh deer, I wish I did not know why Paris should delay the marriage.
- Juliet enters scene with Friar and Paris
- Go Paris, I do not want to speak anymore.
- Kiss
- In his cell Friar Lawrence speaks with Paris about the latter's impending marriage to Juliet.
- Juliet asks for help
- I need help Friar. I do not want to be with Paris any longer.
- The Friar remarks to himself that he wishes he was unaware of the reason Paris marriage should be delayed.
- Friars plan
- I have a plan. All you will have to do is consent the the marriage. Then I will give you a potion and you play dead till morning.
- Friar Lawrence ushers Paris away, though not before Paris kisses Juliet.
- Consent to plan
- Alright. I will give you my potion. Now use it wiseley.
- Sound like a great plan.
- Juliet ask friar Lawrence for help, brandishing a knife and saying that she will kill herself rather than marry Paris.
- Friar proposes a plan. Juliet must consent to marry Paris, then on the night before the wedding drink a potion to appear dead. Then Juliet will be laid to rest and when she wakes Romeo will be there.
- Juliet consents to the plan. Friar gives her the potion.
