- I feel the cool wind blow past me and my heart beats in rhythm to the footsteps my feet make as I run. 25 m, here I come! I think as I reach the 25 m line, Sunny and Patty whooping and hollering in the stands along with the rest of the team. Then I hear Ma’s and Aunt Sophie’s yells of encouragement and I see Lu’s Ma jumping up and down and screaming “LU! LUCKY LU!” at the top of her lungs.

His mouth was parted slightly either from exhaustion or from being as shocked as when he found out I ran or when everyone started laughing at him when I showered chocolate milk on his head. His hair was oddly plastered in no normal way ‘cause nah that guy ain’t ever normal you know? Ha! I turned my mind and eyes back to the front and I realised I must’ve passed the 50 m checkpoint already ‘cause the finish line wasn’t that close before and I mean it ain’t that close a second before right? But just then there was a quick gasp and the sound of someone hitting the ground and I whip my head around and see Lu on the ground.
