- Chapter 2: The School Spelling BeeThe school spelling bee was happening at 8:00 am. So I was really nervous. I walked down to the auditorium or amphitheater. My legs were basically shaking a bit. But the spelling bee was a little bit delayed because we had to wait for the other winners of the class-wide spelling bee. I only got more nervous, and my stomach was ready to throw up. But it controlled itself.A few more rounds passed and more people got eliminated. But I was still in. Between 10 - 16 rounds in, I was in the final 2. I was less nervous by then, but still kind of nervous. And when the other contestant spelled "antimony" wrong, I spelled it correctly.When the other contestant had spelled it wrong, I felt excited suddenly because I knew I was about to win. And before I knew it, I won, and went back to my classroom.
