My single Story

My friend, on the far right, invited me and her friend to a restaurant to celebrate her dad's promotion.
I introduce myself to her friend. We began having a discussion about school, hobbies, and catching each other up on recent events in our lives.
The waitress walks over to our table. Everyone gave their orders. I told the waitress that I would like salmon and a side salad.
My friend made an "mmh" sound as if my meal choice was a n interesting choice that shocked her. I heard her and saw the face she mad. However, I chose to ignore it.
The waitress looked at me with sympathy and went back to the kitchen to give our orders to the kitchen staff. I replied to my friend's comment saying, "You seem surprised," with a chuckle. She said, "Oh nothing."
Her friend stayed quiet throughout the small talk. Then, I said, "I just wanted to make a healthier choice this week. I had a few cheat days," as a joke. Her exact response was, "I can tell," with a few giggles. Her friend gasped then followed it with a laugh as well. I was quite shocked her friend laughed as well considering I was in better shape than her.
