- Once, there was a girl named Irene. She lived in Athens, with her father, an army general, and her mother.
- Hello! how are you today!
- Even though she lived in a big house, Irene preferred being outside, alone, with the courtyard doves.
- On the other side of Athens, a girl lived a very different life than Irene. she lived with her mother Selene, and brother, Basil. Her name was Eumelia,
- I've got the apples and fed the chickens!
- unlike Iren, Eumelia loved being with her family. they worked together all the time.
