- Chapter 2
- The book states that you die between the age of 40-45. This is important because it is a detail that sticks out. It sticks out due to the fact that in real life humans typically live to about 79 years old.
- Chapter 3
- Equality Sees Liberty for the first time. He is shocked at how beatiful she is because this is the first woman he's noticed. We wish to write this name. We wish to speak it, but we dare not speak it above a whisper. For men are forbidden to take notice of women, and women are forbidden to take notice of men. But we think of one among women, they whose name is Liberty 5-3000, and we think of no others. (Rand37)
- Chapter 4
- Man was burned for speeaking the unspeakable word. Equality saw this happen and thought that the man was looking into his eyes and sending a message to him without saying a word. He states this by saying We have seen one of such men burned alive in the square of the City. And it was a sight which has stayed with us through the years, and it haunts us, and follows us, and it gives us no rest. (Rand46). He thinks that the man has chosed him due to it seemed to us that the eyes of the Transgressor had chosen us from the crowd and were looking straight upon us. (Rand47)
- This is when equality first discover electricity he says We found that it causes lightning (Rand48). This action first cme to light when there was a dead frog that was still alive due to metal and copper touching and the effect is similar to defibrillators.
- This is when equality drinks water from liberties hand. This causes liberty to have an unknown feeling. Prior to this equality was rizzing her up and they even gave each other nicknames.
