Mice are very populated in the artic.They have diffferent color furs that show natural variation in the population. They have predators are gorillas. The artic gets very dark in the summer.
4: Competition & Natural Selection
Genetic variation will give all the mice different variations. The main one is their fur color, some are very dark, some are light brown and others are grey. Genetic variation is the genes creating different individuals in the same population.
5: Adaptation
With the season changing to summer, my mice have vary different varieties of colored fur. There has been many more mice which gave is overpopulation.
Evolution Has Occured
The lighter the mice fur is the easier it is to get eaten by a predator which is the gorilla.The mice with the darker fur are more able to hide from predators, but the mice with the lighter fur are more able to be seen because the environent is ddarker
The black fur mice are more able to make more offspring. After years of variation there are more offspring that are black fur. It is now easier to adapt to the black fur and create more offspring with bpack fur.
In this environment the dominant genetic trait is black fur. Evolution can happen quickly or slowly in an environment depending on the size of change and genetics in population.
