  • You can study for your knowledge test by studying 'Learn to Drive Smart' and taking the practice tests on the ICBC app.

  • Do your vision screening, take then receive your L!
  • You have to get 40/50 questions right to pass
  • Answer 80% correct on your 50 multiple choice questions to pass your knowledge test to receive your L.

  • Once you have your L, insure your vehicle and you can start to practice driving with an adult that is at least 25 with a valid class 1-5 licsense in the passenger seat

  • With your L, you have restricted hours of driving from 5am-midnight, no electronic devices, you must have your L on the rear of the vehicle, and you can have one passenger other than your adult supervisor.

  • After at least 12 months of having your L and have been prohibition free, you can register for your class 7 road test to obtain your N.

  • To prepare for your road test, make sure to have lots of road experience, practice on different weather conditions, and practice your road test.

  • Your road test and will take approx. 35 mins, and the examiner will take you on a route to demonstrate test your driving skills.

  • In all cases of driving, no matter what license, you can't use any electronics or be under the influence while driving, it's illegal and unsafe.
