- Throughout this course I learned many things from the many subfields of Anthropology. I learned of cultures, languages, biology, and archaeology.
- While many aspects of different cultures surprised me. It was incredibly interesting to learn about the differences between myself and others.

- I learned that other societies have different gender roles than western society, where women are seen as the head of the family. I learned of cultural practices like female genital mutilation, and while this practice is seen as dangerous and inhumane to some, it is important to look at the tradition within the context of community perspective.

- I believe cultural relativism will help me in the future. I hope to travel the world when I am older and understanding different traditions through the eyes of the community will help me bond with different individuals and hold respect for different cultures.
- In five years, I think I will remember the importance of cultural differences and understanding that every society has differences. However, it is important to remember that just because something is abnormal to you doesn't mean it's weird for others. I think in five years I will remember how hard others work for the items that westerners can buy from grocery stores. Building respect for people who do the jobs that no one want.
