- Once upon a time, a long time ago, Earth had no atmosphere. Hydrogen and Helium wouldn't stay for long because they would be blown away by solar wind or drift off into space.
- As the first atmosphere was disappearing, the Earth was developing a magnetosphere. During this period, there was a lot of volcanic activity, releasing many gasses into the air. The atmosphere is very hot.
- H2O
- N2
- NH3
- SO2
- CO2
- When the atmosphere cooled, rain began to fall, reducing WV in the air. More water caused the absorption of CO2 into bodies of water. The ammonia was split into N and H, but the H floated away into space while the N2 stuck around. Notice, there is not Oxygen yet.
