- Jesus and his twelve disciples are walking through a grain field on the sabbath. His disciples began to pluck grain, rub them in their hands, and eat them.
- The Pharisees see them and say to Jesus, "Why are you doing what is not lawful on the sabbath." Jesus pretty much said that they aren't the first to break the law on sabbath.
- Jesus says, "The Son of Man is lord of the sabbath."
