A positive outcome of this process is that I am finding ways to connect to my culture through food. Indeed, although many of my plants are not fully ready to be used yet, I am more excited about cooking now that I am seeing my plants grow, and I have already been asking my mom for recipes that I can use in the future. Additionally, I have found myself building a healthier relationship with food, as I used to snack on junk food and processed items mainly, but now I prefer healthier and fresher items. For example, my favourite go-to snack now is a cucumber salad, which is a delicious Korean dish I saw online and one that I have introduced my family to as well!
