- The witches tell Macbeth his prophecy. Banquo is curious as to what is his. Banquo will be the father of future kings.

- Lady Macbeth wants Macbeth to murder Duncan to become king. Ambition is the reason for killingMacbeth has second thoughts, but is reassured by Lady Macbeth.
- I shall commit a murder and become king
- You need to kill Duncan in order to become king, but you are too kind hearted.
- I have a plan so nothing shall happen to us
- Give me the murder weapon! Are you crazy why do you still have it
- Macbeth returns back to Lady Macbeth after killing Duncan. She leaves, and Macbeth hears knocking. When she returns they wash the blood, the evidence, off their hands.
- I am horrible. I have killed
- Confusion arises around Duncan dying. His sons, Malcolm and Donaldbain leave. Macbeth becomes thane. The witches prophecies are true.
- Hail New King. MACBETH

- Macbeth wants Banquo and Fleance dead. Their presence is felt by him. His throne is being threatened. Attackers attack Fleance and Banquo, Banquo is left hurt.
