- Victor Frankenstein is found chasing a monster at the North Pole. He meets Captain Walton, who is on a scientific expedition. Victor tells him his life story.

- Frankenstein discovered the secret of bringing things to life. He used body parts from a graveyard and assembled a "creature" who came to life. Upon seeing his creation, he ran in fear, deserting it. This forced the monster fend for himself.

- The monster searched for companionship and love. However, due to his hideous nature, he only found rejection. Bitter and hurt, the monster searched for his creator to get revenge.
