Storyboard Tekst

  • Hello again, Linnie! What text to can you use for the proverb, "It takes but a small shaft of sunlight to pierce the clouds of life".
  • Well I think I can do text to self. Over the summer, corona made me very bored. I couldn't go as many places as I would usually over the summer.
  • However, I had a little money to spend, so I spent it on the most useful thing ever: books. I read 12 fictional novels over the summer and they allowed me to go places without physically going anywhere at all. I could go from kingdoms and castles to caves in the mountains all in one sitting! Take that covid!
  • Perhaps...
  • So, reading was my little shaft of sunlight among the horrid clouds of covid.
  • Alright...
  • Well, in chapter 13, Tree-ear arrives in Ch-ulp-o. When he gets there. he finds out that Crane-man, his very good friend, has died.
  • Ok... And how would you say this proverb relates to chapter 13?
  • Tree-ear is having a very hard time coping with the loss of his friend, but Min makes it worse; he gives Tree-ear work as he would on any other day. However, Min tells Tree-ear in a somewhat confusing way, that the wood is to make Tree-ear his own wheel.
  • That little shaft of light pierced Tree-ear's heavy clouds of grief and made him happy again. Min was going to teach him how to make pots, and his dream was going to become a reality! That goes to show that even a little shaft of light (Min and Ajima's kind words and generosity), can pierce the clouds of life (Tree-ear's grieving).
