An angry group of women marched from Paris to Versailles on October 5th, 1789, demanding bread and a meeting with their King. Their wrath was directed to the King and Queen Marie Antoinette, who was opulent and frivolous. According to these enraged women, "Madam Deficit" promised and helped to create the financial crisis. The women desired the king and his family to be back to Paris so that they could see them whenever they want.However after three years, the royal family was imprisoned by the revolutionaries at the Tuileries Palace in Paris..
During 1793 to 1794, about 40000 people would die during this time so people got scared of speaking out for the republic. People were beheaded by the Guillotine and even upper and middle classes citizens. Robespierre, who spoke out against the republic and led the revolution, was arrested on July 27th, 1794 for being treason and executed the next day.
Napoleon began his military journey at the age of 9 and he wanted to prove himself as a leader when he became 20. Napoleon would have many military successes against austria, britain and prussia throughout this career then he later became a political leader that helped to set up the governing board. Napoleon was able to implement great support with reforms of revolution,including returning France to a prosperous nation by controlling prices, and encouraging the building of canals and railroads.
