- The Smith Family is an independent charity helping disadvantaged Australian children to get the most out of their education. They do this by getting volunteers to run workshops and long-term programs involving Literacy, Numeracy, Technology and general Mentoring.
- These programs are necessary for children such as Lucy, Anna, Lily and Chase;or any student who wishes to build a career for themselves but are hindered by the tragic circumstances of poverty.

- The Smith Family’s actions are a demonstration of the Catholic Social Teaching Principle, The Common Good. The Common Good states that every person should have access to goods and resources in order to live happy lives. When we work together to improve the well-being of individuals in our community and around the world, we achieve the common good. The Smith Family foundation allows disadvantaged children to have the resources to carry out whatever lives they wish to lead, thus further promoting the common good.
- Us Chisolmers are winning; whether that be in Sports Day with our massive victory, our horse in the race in the long-term Rijken Cup, or in the many other things that we are winning in. However, a very important day to win is the one to morality; Athon day. Every cent that is donated to the Smith Family is one towards the best win of all. We can win this. GO CHISOLM!!
- This is all well and good Dylan and Darcy, but how can we help as students?
- (Dylan): If all of us Chisolm winners can grab our lunch change or ask our parents for money then we will wipe the floor with the other houses again!
- (Darcy): On the smith family foundation website, you can donate whatever amount of money you wish through online payment. The Smith Family use these donations to give school supplies and funding to programs that support disadvantaged children.
