Insight I bring: I understand how pressure from district officials and administrators can affect what teachers deem most important to teach. I understand that some teachers have limited content knowledge and feel uncomfortable teaching science. I know that quality science materials are often not in the budget and can be hard to acquire.

In conclusion, subjectivity isn’t just a “bias” to eliminate—it can be a strength. A researcher’s unique perspective can provide insight, empathy, and deeper understanding of participants’ experiences.
