Antagonist
Charlie is the Protagonist, because he shot Pete Van Horn and he kept on encouraging the fight by blaming other people. This is important to the story because Charlie was one of the main characters in the story. Also because he shot Pete and killed him.
Charlie is the Antagonist. This is because he was the one that was arguing with everyone and blaming everyone. He was also the one who shot Pete Van Horn because he was acting rationally and without thinking because he wanted to clear his name.
Problem.
There is also a problem. The problem is that everyone is blaming each other for being the reason for all this. This is important because this is what fuels the anger and suspense in the story and what causes the death of Pete.

Special Powers
The aliens/figures have special powers because they were able to turn off all of Maple Street's devices, cars, radios and everything. This is very important to the play because this is why the entire play happened in the first place. This is what caused the people to blame each other.
