In society, moral foundations are everything and like it or not a society which lacks good morals such as consent, respect and honesty seem to crumble. A family in the Catholic view should have a plethora of morals . Consent is huge as there is even a catechism (CCC 1628) this pretty much emphasizes the importance of consent and commitment in marriage. These morals are essential to society. As well their is a verse which mentions strong parenting stays with the child even when he is old (Proverbs 22:6). A society has a more promising future when the adults of tomorrow have been instilled with good ethics.

As much as it is a silly example i think the incredibles really supports this idea of the irreplaceable role of family in society. This family has their disputes however they are truly a good family the parents teach their children ethics and rules, the family find themselves in trouble however with their bond they fight it off and help destroy the evil in this world.

In fact their is a great study that shows a relationship where God is respected and the people both show commitment have significantly lower divorce rates and common good is better established in these families
