Storyboard Szöveg

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • After a deadly duel between brothers Eteocles and Polynices, Polynices is declared a traitor by King Creon and his body is not allowed to be buried. The king declares that anyone who dares to break this law will be given the death penalty. However, Antigone tells her sister, Ismene, that she plans to bury Polynices's body anyway despite the consequences. Ismene warns her against this, but Antigone runs into the forest where his body lies and begins the burial process.
  • Falling Action
  • King Creon receives word from the police that a citizen is burying Polynices's body, and Antigone is brought to the royal palace shortly after. She doesn't deny her crimes and is sentenced to death as soon as possible. Haemon, the king's son and lover of Antigone, vents his frustration to his father and leaves, hoping to never see him again. Despite all this, Creon still believes he is in the right and ends up throwing a party in his mansion.
  • Resolution
  • During the king's party, a wise man by the name of Tiresias warns Creon that bad things will happen to his kingdom if Antigone isn't freed. Creon is skeptical of this at first, but is eventually able to be convinced. He knows that there isn't a lot of time, and immediately orders for Antigone to be freed. However, the police inform him that it is too late as she has already been executed.
  • The End
  • Devastated by the loss of his lover and his dad's corruptness, Haemon stabs himself and leaves a note, saying he wishes to be buried next to Antigone. News of their deaths spread across the kingdom and Creon orders for them to buried next to Polynices. During this, however, he is told by his royal servants that the queen, Eurydice, has ended her life as well.
  • Realizing the chain of events that he caused, King Creon makes a public, televised, speech to his people admitting to his wrongdoings. Ashamed with himself, he makes a promise that he won't show his face in public ever again and is to step down from the role of king. Ismene is announced to become the new monarch and Creon requests to be exiled, hoping to never be seen again.
