Cuban dictator Fidel Castro started taking over property belonging to American companies, so President Eisenhower gave approval to a secret plant o train Cuban exiles by the CIA and send them to invade Cuba and overthrow Castro.
The First Golf War
The U.S. got involved because these missile bases that were in Cuba were only 90 miles away from Florida and if the U.S. did not act soon, there could have been some sort of missile launch on Florida, which is U.S. territory.
The U.S. got involved because Iranian protestors kidnapped U.S. Embassy members, and this is a direct attack towards the United States. The Embassy members were held hostage for 444 days until they were finally freed in January 1981.

The U.S. got involved because when Iraq dictator Saddam Hussein refused to stop invading neighboring country Kuwait, the U.S. and coalition forces entered Kuwait to help. Iraq force were quickly defeated and retreated back to Iraq.
