The Hurricane of 1767 retold by Mason Bragdon

on July 31st 1767 during the afternoon a storm approached from Sebago lake. unknowing of this disaster citizens went about their normal day until the storm hit the town. roofs started getting torn off buildings, and people were pulled into the air as they were flung into nearby trees and buildings inevitably killing anyone who suffered this fate. The tornado continued to tear through the town of New marble head as it picked up items from the streets and from people's houses. as it made its way closer to highland lake, the tornado still roaring at full force uprooted trees, but once it hit the body of water it finally died off leaving its trail of destruction behind.
