- Hello, today I will be interviewing actress Lara Neale on her upcoming movie “Whatever You Say” which will be released Summer 2025.So Lara, what was it like having to prepare yourself for this role?
- Well, seeming as I am actually the same age as the character I’m playing, it wasn’t too hard trying to get in the head of a seventeen year old girl. However, I definitely experienced a very different social dynamic in school than she does so I read a lot of blogs from other teenage girls to gauge their experiences and how it affected them.
- What was it like working with Sophia Coppola?
- It was unreal, I have always been a fan of Sophia Coppola movies and I really think she is amazing at portraying particularly feminine emotions and experiences so I knew she would be perfect for this movie. She’s also just so caring and motherly and she just made Violet and I feel so welcome on set.

- How would you say that this movie has impacted your life
- Well it’s massively impacted my life as it was my first professional acting role in a movie and has clearly boosted my confidence in front of the camera. I also think that I was so lucky to be able to work with such an amazing director for my first movie and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.
- And finally. What was your favorite memory from backstage?
- Honestly, probably any moment with Violet, she and I had a lot of fun together backstage. It really helped when we had long days and we would go back to our trailers and watch movies together.
