- Ancient Greece 1000 BC - 323 BC
- Here, in Ancient Greece, we created coloumns, arches, and bridges. In Rome they took our ideas and made them better or changed the ways they were used. We influenced lots of Roman architecture.

- In Rome, we bulit the Colosseum. The coolest part is that we made our arches in the Colosseum with concrete, made out of volcanic rock and ash.

- Our bridges here in Rome are superior to the greeks bridges, because we use arches that support our bridge!
- The Greeks influenced lots of Roman architechture, which is why it is an example of collective learning. Without Greece Rome wouldn't be the same as it was.

- Wow that's cool! I never knew that our stadium was based off of Rome's ideas.
- The Concrete that the Romans made were the reason why people think the Colosseum still stands today. The Romans concrete was so strong and durable that in order to make concrete so strong today modern builders have to reinforce it with steel.

- In Greece, they used colomns as structure support, but here in Rome we see them differently. We see them as decorations.
- The reason Rome's bridges were so sturdy compared to the Greeks was because the Romans arch constructed was able to support lots more weight than the Greeks beam and post construction.
- In Rome they created the first sports stadium ever recorded, the Colosseum. People came to the Colosseum to see bloody gladiator fights. That's where the idea for oval shaped stadiums came from, and tiered seating. People kept making oval shaped stadiums and have been using tiered seatings since the time of the Romans.

- The Greeks used colomns, (which they created,) for structural support. The Romans on the other hand, used them as decoration. Their buildings were just without them they just thought the colomns made the interior look prettier.
