In this scene Reverend hale questions Tituba about what truly happened in the forest. Through this scene we learn more about Hales unusual tactics for witch hunting or interrogation. The reader also learns more about Abigail and Tituba's understanding of the situation. After eventually confessing to witchcraft they immediately recognize the power that they have been given.
