- Charles I was unpopular because he had limited his own abilities towards the townspeople, but then he had just began to ignoring them, upsetting all the citizens.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarchy
- The English Civil War consisted of 2 sides fighting each other; the cavaliers and the roundheads due to the growing of complaints. The parliament had won, due largely to the new model army of Oliver Cromwell.
- The Glorious Revolution
- The English people hated Charles I so much they executed him! This was because he had not supported Cromwell, and due to him leaving the complaints unchecked.
- English Bill of Rights
- Wonder when they'll stop
- After the death of Cromwell, restored the monarchy to King Charles the Second after seeing how unpopular that way of ruling was.
- English nobles and the Dutch leader had agreed to invade England, telling William that many people had wanted a change. At the end of the war with almost no bloodshed, they were offered the throne back, along with the bill of rights which had set forth parliaments right to make laws and to levy taxes.
- How dare they try to dethrone me! Don't they love their ruler?
- The English Bill of Rights helped create a system of government based on the rule of law and a freely elected Parliament. This had started the foundation for a limited monarchy.
