- Mary Magdalene, Mary, Salome and another woman came to the tomb of Jesus and met an angel and told them Jesus has risen and tell the disciples about this

- Two of the disciples ran to the tomb and saw the linen cloths lying there and the handkerchief folded together kept away from the linen clothes. These disciples returned to their own homes shocked.

- Later Mary Magdalene continued to remain at the tomb even after Peter and John She kept weeping while being questioned; she turned back and saw Jesus standing there but supposed He was the gardener and asked him “where he had laid the body of Jesus”. Jesus called out to her, “Mary”. She instantly recognized Jesus hearing His loving voice and called Him, ‘Rabboni’ and fell at His feet and worshipped Him.
- On the same day of Resurrection, two disciples of Jesus were traveling from Jerusalem to Emmaus. One was Cleopas. Both of them were talking and reasoned about the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus went near and walked close with them. They could not believe that Jesus would be resurrected. Jesus rebuked their unbelief and explained clearly the Scriptures that say about Jesus's death and how He had to enter into His glory. Yet they could not recognize Jesus. When they approached the village, they compelled Jesus to stay with them. Jesus went along with them and sat at the table and when He took bread, blessed it and broke it and gave to them; then their eyes were opened. They immediately recognized Jesus and Jesus vanished from their sight. The same hour they returned to Jerusalem and found the eleven disciples and told them what had happened to them on the road and how they recognized Him in the breaking of bread.
- In the evening of the day of resurrection, that is the first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood in the midst of them and said, “Peace to you!” After He said this, he showed them His hands and His feet and His side (Luke 24: 40; John 20: 20). when they still could not believe for joy and marveled, Jesus asked them for food, they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb Jesus took it and ate in their presence (Luke 24: 41-43). The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Thomas was not with them at this time. He did not believe what the other disciples told Him. But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” (John 20: 24-29) 48On the eight-day, after the resurrection, while the disciples were gathered in a closed room, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands, and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving but believing.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” and reaffirmed his faith. Here we see the concern Jesus shows for strengthening the faith of His children. Jesus died for us and rose again to live for us. Do you believe this? There is remission of sins for those who believe that Jesus died for them. There are justification and eternal life through the resurrection of Jesus.
