Hi, my name is Yuluo Cai, and I’m originally from Shanghai.My interest in finance developed while studying Economics at the London School of Economics. As I moved from theoretical courses into more applied ones, I started to see how economic and financial decisions shape incentives, influence behavior, and translate into real-world outcomes. Finance became a bridge between economic theory and real-world decision-making.

During my undergraduate studies, I participated in several sustainability-related competitions, which pushed me to think about environmental challenges under real-world constraints. In my third year, I also chose electives such as Environmental Economics and Sustainability Accounting.These experiences shifted my interest toward clean energy, especially solar power, and raised questions for me around how economic decisions, incentives, and feasibility shape whether sustainable projects actually move forward.

Through my previous internship and coursework experiences, I have developed a foundation in financial modeling and applied analysis. However, I am now eager to deepen my understanding of clean energy — to learn how these modeling tools apply specifically to energy projects like solar, and how they are used in real investment decisions.
