Data can be represented as text, images and sound.

I can explain how digital systems use whole numbers as a way to represent a variety of data types
that image needs to be broken down into a series of 1s and 0s. This is done by breaking the image up into pixels .http://blackdrum.phys.lsu.edu
Data in computers is stored and transmitted in binary (1s and 0s). In order to store images on a computer,
sample rate - the number of audio samples captured every secondbit depth - the number of bits available for each clipbit rate - the number of bits used per second of audio
Sounds created on a computer exist as digital information encoded as audio files. Digital sound is broken down into thousands of samples per second. Each sound sample is stored as binary data.
. The objective of Unicode is to unify all the different encoding schemes so that the confusion between computers can be limited as much as possible.
It became apparent that a new character encoding scheme was needed, which is when the Unicode standard was created.
